CBK Inflation Rates

The dataset tracks monthly inflation rates as reported by the Central Bank of Kenya.
It covers a period of 22 years, from 2005 to 2026, with consistent monthly entries.
Both annual average and twelve-month inflation rates show significant variability, ranging from lows around 1.85% to highs near 19.72%.
The average annual inflation rate (7.40%) is slightly higher than the average twelve-month inflation rate (7.23%) over the entire period.
The months of June, May, and April appear most frequently, suggesting complete monthly data for most years.
There are no apparent null values or significant data quality issues based on the provided metadata.
The presence of data up to 2026 suggests that some entries might be forecasts or projections rather than historical observations.
