# Aesops pricing

Browsing, downloading and the API for open data are free on every plan. You only pay for AI analysis, workbooks and reports, monthly or once for a single project.

## Analysis Pass

Working to a deadline, like an assignment or a dissertation chapter? Build a pass for the exact job instead of subscribing. It starts at KES 150 and you add only what the project needs, paid once.

### How a pass works

- The clock starts the first time you open a workbook, not when you pay. It runs 24 hours for each day you buy.
- Run out of AI messages? Buy more in one step without starting over.
- Your work is never held hostage. When the pass ends you drop back to the free plan but keep everything, and you can view and export it for 7 more days.
- Reports you published stay live.

## Frequently asked questions

### What counts as an AI message?

One message you send in a chat or an @aisops mention, however many steps the AI takes to answer it. Drafting a report summary counts as 3. Chat titles and dataset summaries are free.

### Is open data really free?

Yes. Browsing, downloading and the API for published datasets are free on every plan.

### Does publishing count against my limits?

No. Published datasets are free and never count. Only private drafts count toward your monthly private uploads, and publishing a draft frees its slot.

### What happens to my work if I hit a limit?

Nothing is deleted. Your newest workbooks stay editable up to your plan limit, and the rest become view-only until you free a slot. You can always view and export what you made.

### When do daily limits reset?

At midnight, Nairobi time.

### Is there a discount for paying yearly?

Yes. Pay for a year up front and get 2 months free: Insights is KES 6,000 a year and Analyst KES 22,000 a year.

### How do I pay?

With M-Pesa or card. Online checkout is on its way; for now, contact us and we confirm your payment and switch your plan or pass on.
